2013 PBA Governor’s Cup schedule released

Update: The amended 2013 PBA Governors Cup schedule has been posted here. Games that were cancelled due to inclement weather have been rescheduled. Check the new schedule below.

The Commissioner’s Office released the 2013 PBA Governor’s Cup schedule for elimination round which will start on August 14.

The season-ending conference will open just three days after the FIBA Asia Championship to be hosted by the country on August 1-11. Defending champion Rain or Shine Elasto Painters will put their crown on the line right off the bat as they play San Mig Coffee Mixers in the opening day at Mall of Asia Arena.

One thing I noticed about the schedule is the additional double-header in Saturdays, aside from the usual Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Here’s the complete schedule:

The PBA Governor’s Cup will feature imports with height limit of 6’5. Last year’s best import Jamelle Cornley of Rain or Shine will not be back due to his scuffle with local police in March. Yeng Guiao’s team got 2011 Best Import Arizona Reid instead. For complete list of imports, check my previous post.
