SM Foundation will launch its flagship education program Pinoy Iskolar in April 2013 to mark the company’s 30th anniversary.
Pinoy Iskolar scholarship seeks to champion the spirit of ‘bayanihan’ by providing opportunities for quality college education to bright underprivileged students across the country, partnering with the public to take part in the cause, and creating a significant impact to nation-building.
For school year 2013-2014, a total of 346 first year students will compose the first group of Pinoy Iskolars, the latest coming from Cauayan and Tacloban.
SM Foundation executive director for education Linda Atayde said that they were inviting private individuals and companies to be partners in the cause.
“For years, SM Foundation, through its college scholarship program, has helped thousands of scholars in the country complete their tertiary education, pursue their dreams and attain a better future,” said Atayde.
“Through Pinoy Iskolar, we are redoubling efforts and aiming to grow our advocates and supporters. We consider every Filipino as our partner in expanding education opportunities for the youth.”
I will post the details on Pinoy Iskolar scholarship application once it is formally launched and available. For more info, contact Eleanor “Lingling” Lansang of SM Foundation through email@example.com.
